There is no beauty without hygiene. Washing your hands several times a day should be an established habit, which certainly does not risk ruining them. But there is a way and a way.
They wash like this
The water temperature should not be too hot and hands should be dried carefully. The moisture that stagnates between the fingers, in fact, can favor cracking. Better to use cotton wipes or disposable paper rather than the dryer present in the toilets of offices, shopping centers etc. as it dries the skin too much. Choose soaps and detergents neutral or based on oils such as sweet almond, argan , olive, jojoba. Always apply after a moisturizer, to keep in your handbag. In summer, you can replace the usual moisturizer with sunscreen. During the winter season use a nutritious product and always wear gloves to protect your hands from the cold. Often numb fingers can create disturbances to blood circulation. Hand-washing gels based on disinfectants must be reserved for moments of actual need: daily and continuous use can produce allergic phenomena.
Perfect nails
The nails reveal the general state of health. If you notice any change in natural color or streaks and stains, consult your doctor.
If, on the other hand, the nails tend to break easily, it is likely that some special care and more attention to nutrition are enough to improve the situation.
Garlic and onion. The nails are made of keratin, a substance that makes them hard and compact. Garlic and onion contribute to its production. Minerals. When they are fragile, they indicate that the diet lacks iron, zinc and copper. To be recovered in dairy products, legumes and eggs. Oil and lemon. To obtain more resistant nails, prepare an emulsion of olive oil and lemon juice to massage on the nails and hands. Enamel pause. Enamel strengthens, it is true, but spending some time without it helps the nails to “breathe”.
Manicure do it yourself
For manicure the ideal would be to rely on the professionalism of an expert once a week. Doing it yourself, of course, you can, with a few small tricks. Here are the right tips:
Better not to cut the nails with scissors or nippers but to reach the desired shape and size with a cardboard file. This avoids drastic and difficult to recover cuts and the possibility of accidental injury.
When there is no time for a complete manicure, take care only of the skins (cuticles) around the nail, responsible for a sloppy appearance. Soften the area with an emollient cream and push the skins inwards with a stick of pink or orange wood. Your hands will immediately look more tidy.
To smooth the nails pass a rubber sponge. Do not repeat this operation too often because, in the long run, it removes thickness from the nails.
Do not put nail polish, especially dark or iridescent in color, without first having done a good manicure: better not to draw attention to scruffy hands.
The yellowing caused by cigarettes is fought by rubbing a slice of lemon on nails and fingers. Lemon juice lightens the skin but, after washing your hands, do not forget to apply a moisturizer.
Take care of it while you sleep
To find yourself with very soft hands in the morning, provide a special night treatment every now and then.
Olive oil or almond oil: spread your hands generously and wear soft cotton gloves before bedtime.
Keep a hand cream in the bedside table to always remember to put it on before bed. During rest, in fact, the substances contained in the products more easily favor the restoration of the hydrolipidic mantle of the skin.
