The sport that is good for love

Those who do not exercise regularly not only run higher risks of cardiovascular disease, but may not even perform at their best in bed.

All the benefits of regular physical activity in terms of energy and love passion.

Sport and sex, a combination very often put in the bar. How many times have we heard, in the old days, that sportsmen had to carefully avoid sexual activity before competitions?

Yet, the most recent scientific research argues that a love encounter before a race is not always harmful. Indeed. The opposite seems to be true.

In addition, some studies also state that the benefit is two-way: sport positively affects performance under the sheets.

Three kilometers a day is enough

Brisk walking about three kilometers a day can keep you safe from any erection problems.

Word of the American urologist Drogo K. Montagne, head of the Center for Sexual Function at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

The scholar has in fact shown that physical activity is a very valid shield against impotence. And he also explained why.

The protective mechanism is very simple: aerobic exercise counteracts the appearance of vascular disorders. Including the formation at the level of the arteries of those lipid plaques that, partially occluding the vessels, would prevent proper spraying of the male sexual organs.

It is the same reason why doctors recommend regular physical activity as a preventive measure against cardiovascular diseases such as heart attack and cerebral stroke. And if this were not enough to convince there are, in support, other investigations. Like the one conducted in Austria by urologist Christian Kratzik, according to whom burning at least 4,000 kilocalories a week reduces the risk of impotence by 83 percent.

Also swimming, jogging and cycling

Not only fast walking: even a daily swim of 30/40 minutes or an hour of aerobics or, again, a nice ride improve the functionality of the cardiovascular system and, consequently, the circulation of all organs and sexual performance.

Without exaggerating though. To think that greater athletic effort corresponds to better result is a mistake. The intensity of the activity must actually be moderate: that is, the one that allows, for example, to talk to someone in the meantime.

All to avoid overloading the organism, but also the psyche, obtaining the opposite effect to that intended.

With common sense

If sport becomes a stressful factor because it is experienced as a constant challenge with oneself and with others, or if it is practiced beyond one’s possibilities, overexerting the body, it could lower the level of libido and desire.

On the contrary, a constant and adequate motor activity induces an increase in the production of testosterone, which increases sexual desire.

And then there is the increase in dopamine, a neurotransmitter that stimulates the desire to do and serotonin, which improves mood and raises endorphin levels, known to increase relaxation and pleasure.

Not only that. Playing sports is good for self-esteem and improves the state of fitness and the perception of our body and our sensations, favoring a more relaxed and conscious approach to gallant encounters.

Finally, a regular life…

Of course, to maximize the effects of physical activity, it is also better to follow the classic rules of a healthy lifestyle by eliminating smoking, alcohol, and incorrect nutrition that do not do good, not even to love.
