To meet the impossibility of carrying out the usual sports activities in the gym or outdoors, linked to the COVID-19 emergency, Bayer has enriched its www.emofilia.it website with six video-pills with simple and fun tips, useful to stay active even while staying at home.
Within the site, in the “Bayer for the Haemophilia Community” section, a dedicated page has been created #mipiacesetimuovi that hosts video-pills with specific exercises for certain parts of the body such as arms, neck or back useful for maintaining a correct posture, but also with advice on how to improve balance and with suggestions for stretching.
One of the video-pills is designed for children: through the use of imagination, the little ones are invited to imagine themselves in a basketball court or pool and to perform the same movements they would do to reach the basket or to swim freestyle or backstroke.

About 400,000 people worldwide are affected by hemophilia, a mostly inherited disease, in which one of the proteins needed to clot blood is missing or present in reduced amounts. Form A is the most common type of hemophilia, in which blood clotting is reduced due to lack or defect of coagulation factor VIII. Patients with this disease experience repeated bleeding of muscles, joints and other tissues, which can result in chronic damage over time. Hemorrhages, in particular, if not treated appropriately can have very serious consequences. Hemophilia A has an estimated incidence of 1 in 5,000 male babies born live and occurs globally.
