Do you want to live up to 100 years? Eat less

It has not yet been proven unequivocally, but it seems that those who are thin have a longer life expectancy than those who are overweight.

A definitive confirmation has not yet arrived, but there are now dozens of scientific researches that highlight the importance of not accumulating extra pounds. The gain, as well as in general health, is also in terms of years of life.

Studies conducted on laboratory animals and analysis of statistics in the general population leave very little doubt that our body, for reasons still unknown, does not seem to like the abundance of food.

As to why this phenomenon is not yet certain.

The “bacon” that shortens life

Some studies have focused in particular on fat deposits in the abdomen: it seems that, among all, it is the most harmful.

In fact, this tissue releases particular cytokines, molecules naturally produced by the body, which promote inflammation and are involved in the development of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and tumors.

Flat stomach means, therefore, less cholesterol, less triglycerides and therefore “cleaner” arteries. Which means fewer heart attacks and icuts.

Eat less or even do some sport?

Experts have no doubts about this: reducing calories is fine, but without exaggerating. And above all by introducing with the diet all the nutrients and micronutrients essential to the body, in a balanced way.

If you are on a diet you may need vitamins.

Finally, everything must be accompanied by regular physical activity. Do you want to know which sports “burn” the most fat?
